Virtual partitions have several uses, due to them thermal transmission limiting properties.

They can be used when calculating thermal loads in a relatively large zone because of the certainty that there is a region with greater loads than the rest. This can be the case of offices with glass façades (curtain walls).

They are also useful to define different floor finishes in the same space.
